Hugg in!
Hi Fred! Can you please introduce yourself to our readers?
I’m Fred Well and I’m a Pop/rnb solo artist from Bergen, Norway.
When did you first decide to start making music?
I started to write music when I was a kid, but it wasn’t until a few years ago it got more serious.
What is your usual song-writing process?
I always start with the melody first. When that is done I find a subject to write about . The subject often falls down right before my eyes as my mind is always working on something without me always knowing it 🙂
What kind of things inspire you to write?
I would say everything. Things I see, my everyday-life and stories I hear. Also, I would say movies. I do find a lot of inspiration watching movies. That’s actually sounds like a cliché, but it’s true… 🙂
What can you tell us about your new single More Than A Maybe?
It’s one of the first songs I wrote as an solo artist. It’s also one of my favorites. It was written in an hour and I think almost everyone can relate to the lyrics. To me it’s about daring to expect things from yourself and others.
You will be supporting Sigrid on her tour, tell us all about that!
YES! It’s amazing.
I love Sigrid and I absolutely love her music too. It’s such a great honour to have been chosen as a support act for her. I feel very lucky, and in addition I get to see her perform at every venue on the tour. How awesome is that? She’s so inspiring and cool to hang with – and she also has a fantastic band and crew that I look forward to see perform and hang with as well.
What song do you most look forward to playing on tour?
More Than A Maybe!!!
Are you nervous before playing shows?
Yes, always, but I think it’s a good thing. It keeps you focused.
Do you have any pre-gig rituals that we need to know about?
I spend a lot of time warming up my voice. That’s very important.
I also hava a playlist that I listen to that gets me in the perfect mood and that gives me the right vibes before I enter the stage.
What are you most looking forward to this year?
To release more music and play more live shows!
Any last words?
